Together, we can prevent first-year worker injuries
In Alberta construction, 55 per cent of all injury claims involve workers in their first year at a company. Leaders and crews are stepping up together to address this troublesome reality, and ACSA is here to support.
In 2025, ACSA launched a frontline focused initiative as part of the Injury Prevention Campaign, encouraging camaraderie to prevent injuries. This included Crew Brew activations at construction sites, the Safety Showdown online contest and resources to support crew conversations on preventing common injuries.
Thank you for sharing your feedback to help shape ACSA's Injury Prevention Campaign. View the 2025 campaign summary report here.
Crew Brew and Safety Showdown will return in May 2026, along with new resources. Subscribe at firstyear.youracsa.ca for updates.
